What affects your price?

📐

Driveway Size

The biggest factor. A 500 sq ft single-car driveway is half the cost of a 1,200 sq ft double. Our quote tool calculates from satellite or your description.

🔍

Surface Condition

Light oxidation = standard price. Heavy cracking, oil stains, or edge crumbling may require extra prep work. We tell you upfront — no surprise invoices after the job.

🚗

Access & Obstacles

Tight gates, steep grades, or driveways with lots of landscaping to mask take more time. Crew time is money — this factors into your estimate.

📍

Region & Market

Labor costs vary by city. Chicago and Atlanta run a bit higher than rural markets. Your quote reflects your local contractor's actual rates — not a national average.

Why we post our prices

Most contractors hide their prices because they want to get you on the phone, size you up, and charge what they think they can get away with. That's fine for them. It's terrible for you.

We post prices because trust is the product. When you know what a job should cost before a contractor shows up, you can't be upsold or misled. And when we send a contractor to your home, we want you to feel good about that — not anxious.

Our model only works if homeowners trust us enough to book. So we earn that trust the simplest way possible: by telling the truth about what things cost.

⚠️ The St. Matthews story

A homeowner in St. Matthews, KY noticed small cracks forming in his driveway. He kept putting off the fix — busy with work, figured it wasn't urgent. Three years later, freeze-thaw cycles had let water get under the surface, buckling a 40-square-foot section near the garage.

$12,000 replacement.
Could have been $2,800.

Sealing is the oil change. Repaving is the blown engine. They're not even in the same conversation — until you skip too many oil changes.

Pricing FAQ

Quick answers to the questions we get most.

Is the price range final, or will it change after booking?
Your quote is based on your description and/or satellite measurement. If the contractor arrives and finds significantly different conditions (major undisclosed cracks, oil damage, etc.), they'll contact you with a revised number — and you can approve or cancel with no charge. No surprise invoices after the job is done.
Do I pay anything to get a quote?
No. The quote is free and takes 90 seconds. We collect card info when you book — but your card is NOT charged until the job is complete and you've reviewed the before/after photos and confirmed you're satisfied.
Why is DIY cheaper but not necessarily better?
Consumer-grade sealants from hardware stores last 12–18 months. Our contractors use commercial-grade materials with UV stabilizers and sand aggregate — rated for 3–5 years. Plus you don't have to spend your weekend on your hands and knees. The math usually favors professional application over a 10-year window.
Can I negotiate the price?
Our prices reflect market rates for properly vetted, insured contractors. We don't do the race-to-the-bottom thing. That said, bundling services (driveway + garage) gets you 10% off, and we occasionally run seasonal promotions. Check your quote for current offers.
What if my driveway is way bigger or smaller than average?
The per-square-foot rate holds regardless of size — larger driveways cost more in total but the same per sq ft. Very small driveways (under 300 sq ft) may have a minimum job fee of around $400–$600 to make the trip worthwhile for the contractor.
